Does content relating to the creative arts feature on your website, blog or social media channels?

If the answer is in the affirmative then the CreativeLive Affiliate Program should be a good fit for you. As part of the program, you can promote their courses within your content. In return, you’ll receive affiliate payments to compensate.

How much do CreativeLive pay for a referral?

The price range is also extensive and varies from course to course, with some being $20 and others being hundreds of dollars.

The CreativeLive Cookie And How It Works

CreativeLive is part of the ShareASale affiliate network, so all tracking links, reporting and commission payments are managed through this.

Upon signing up for the CreativeLive Affiliate Program (via ShareASale), you receive a unique tracking link. The link contains your unique Affiliate Id so that ShareASale knows you sent traffic arriving on the CreativeLive website.

You use the tracking link on your website or social media to direct visitors to the CreativeLive website.

The merchant ( CreativeLive) stores your affiliate ID in a tiny text file (known as a cookie) in the visitor’s web browser. Cookies are used to track website visitors.

cookies

Cookies have an expiry date; likewise, the CreativeLive ShareASale cookie lasts for 30 days.

What this means to you, is that if the person you referred purchases a course from CreativeLive within 30 days of clicking your link then you get credited with the sale. The credit happens even if they didn’t click your link during their return to the website.

The period is known as the “Cookie Life“, and 30 days for cookie expiry life is average.

How and When Do You Get Paid By CreativeLive?

You don’t get paid by CreativeLive directly. They have delegated all the administration of the Affiliate program to the ShareASale Affiliate Network.

ShareASale payments are sent out via Check or Direct Deposit. Payments are sent out on the 20th of every month, for the previous month’s locked commissions. This means that commissions that you earn in January, for example, are eligible for payment on February 20th.
